My husband and I had a very specific vision regarding the music, since we are both collegiate-trained musicians, and Max was able to listen to our needs and reproduce them even better than we could have ourselves. Additionally, the logistics of our wedding were atypical, since we were married in a Chinese restaurant, and Max's disc jockey skills made what could have been awkward transitions between courses flawless. Needless to say, Max exceeded our expectations. Friends and family still tell us today that our wedding was the most fun they've attended, and I attribute much of that to the musical experience provided by Max.
Dearest Max,
I want to take this opportunity to let you know how significant your artistry was to making my 60th Birthday one that I (and many others) will never forget. I was so demoralized by the thought of becoming sixty until I stepped into the most magical space and I was transported back to an era of music and design that I think represents some of the most unusual creativity of my generation. You did such a phenomenal job that evening!!!! We all had such an extraordinary time! The synergies of the music that you so expertly arranged, the go-go dancers, the lighting and the decor made the party one that will long be remembered. Without your deft management of the music it would never have had the result that it did. Guests sent me more orchid plants, flowers, gifts, notes and phone calls than any other party I have ever had (and I've had a number in my time)--they all said the same thing--the party was a HUGE success and they had the best time ever. Top notch!! Would have him in a heartbeat for the next party I do. Now everyone's asking when the next party is! (One of my girlfriends works at People Magazine and she asked who my DJ was and said how awesome he was) Even Isabelle. Max was so wonderful w/her and her friends and their wishes! So, so, so good! You have to recommend him to people. I gave him almost no direction and he just knew exactly what to do. I loved what he did for the cake cutting. Just a really neat surprise! Loved him! Max does a lot of opening nights on Broadway. I had heard him numerous times and he also came highly recommended by the party planner that does most of these openings in NYC. He came to my office twice to meet with Adam and me. He played great music and is definitely a class act. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He did our ceremony, cocktail hour and reception.

My friend, what can we say?! I am not sure we have the words to explain just how brilliant you were and how much of an impression your work made on all our guests. People who are really too old to be dancing were on for five or so consecutive songs, including Beyonce!!

I was so busy I barely got a chance to say hello, but I had a wonderful time dancing the night away. So many of our guests have called us to say "I can't believe how awesome the music was".
